Intensive Outpatient Program for Mental Health in San Diego

Personalized in-person care for teens, adults, and familiesโ€”our San Diego IOP is covered by most major insurance plans, including Tricare and TriWest.

Covered by insurance. Backed by professionals who care.

At Compassion Recovery Centers, we offer a structured, in-person Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for mental health that serves individuals across San Diego and surrounding communities. Our IOP provides clinically proven support for teens and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or eating disordersโ€”without requiring full-time hospitalization.

Youโ€™ll attend scheduled sessions throughout the week at our welcoming facility, allowing you to get the care you need while still maintaining your work, school, or family commitments.

What Is an IOP for Mental Health?

An Intensive Outpatient Program bridges the gap between weekly therapy and inpatient care. Itโ€™s designed for people who need regular, structured supportโ€”often three to five days a weekโ€”but who are stable enough to live at home.

Unlike inpatient programs that require round-the-clock supervision, our mental health IOP in San Diego provides the same quality of care in a more flexible format. Youโ€™ll participate in group therapy, meet one-on-one with licensed clinicians, and have access to psychiatryโ€”all in person, at our facility.
